Lott's Wife -- A Foray into Science Fiction
Part II
Lott became highly agitated imagining his wife with the bloated polar prince. Rourke had toured the ship from stem to stern with the captain and several dignitaries from his icy world. A procression of Rourke's wives and several ambassadors trailed the captain and the nomadic prince peeking into cubicles and reasearch units alike finally investigating the biological sciences and medical area where Arianna was busy embalming an expired midshipman. Rourke unzipped his copper-red jumpsuit and winked at Arriance indicating that he wanted her to join his harem. Arianna squealed, mesmerized by his unnatural pale blue eyes and frosty body temperature. The mating ritual began, they commenced with the 'chicken dance' an old planet Earth amusement of another era; the midshipman cast aside by the necessity. The remaineder of the retinue dispersed to a reception of hot and spicy cuisine created to soothe and warm the body and Plutonian tales of riding the range on a spectacular, amorphous 'dragon' with large, roughly scaled wings breathing blue-white fire. . .
