when you grow too old to sled ride
you shovel
you awaken to the white tide downpour of snow
to shovel
the neighborhood is alive with adults
who shovel
demanding passage
by shovel

when you grow too old to ice skate

children may sleep, buses keep

todays' snow day will end
so shovel
your stores recede
you need
to shovel

when snowmen hold no interest
shovel
hot cocoa keeps you awake
so shovel
it's never too late
to shovel
your back may ache
but shovel

will it melt today, hard to say
let's shovel
todays' snow is tomorrows' ice!
go shovel!!!
a workout would be twice as nice
but shovel
the sun casts one weak ray upon
your shovel
